About Us
Mission Statment
The mission of the Williamstown Area Emergency Medical Services, Inc. is to provide 24-hour quality prehospital emergency medical care and ambulance services to residents and visitors of Williamstown Boro, Williams Township, Wiconisco Township and surrounding communities as needed, improve the quality of our care and services, support individual and staff development programs for our personnel, and offer information about our Emergency Medical Services to our community.
Community Involvement
The Mission of WEMS is to provide 24-hour prehospital emergency medical services to our community, however our job doesn’t stop there! Our community supports WEMS’s efforts through generous donations of both time and money. WEMS’s commitment to our community is to provide non-emergency services also, like standby services for Williams Valley Viking football games, and provide access to our station’s training area and for community meetings.
Apparatus
Ambulance 24-1 is a 2019 Ford /AEV ambulance. Ambulance 24-1 is licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Health to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services.
Ambulance 24-2 is a 2015 Ford 4x4/AEV ambulance. Ambulance 24-2 is licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Health to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services.
QRS 24 and Rehab 24-40 - 2015 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor SUV and a utility trailer. Outfitted as an EMS vehicle, it can provide support as a Quick Response Service (QRS), Basic Life Support (BLS) backup, and a Rehab support vehicle. QRS 24 is also used to transport personnel and rehab supplies to scenes with extended on-scene times.
